Founded by Anne Popoff, LE SAVOIR-BOIRE brings together a lifelong passion for wine, Belgian beers, people, and discovering great stories.
Born in Paris and having lived, studied, and worked in several countries (including Belgium!) before making Canada home, Anne's career has been anything but conventional.
After many years in international investment banking, she followed her passion and transitioned into the wine world. Today, Anne is a Certified Sommelier, holds the prestigious WSET Diploma, is a past President of the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS) Ontario, and international wine judge.
Her beverage alcohol industry experience includes working with SOPEXA (Hopscotch), consulting for Wine Australia, and co-founding a successful wine agency before launching LE SAVOIR-BOIRE in Ontario.
Over the years, Anne has built strong relationships across the industry, from producers around the world to the LCBO, sommeliers, restaurateurs, brewers wine/beer writers, and other key influencers. At the heart of LE SAVOIR-BOIRE is a simple mission: to connect Ontario wine and beer lovers with exceptional drinks.
